A private household based in the 8th arrondissement of Paris is seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper to take responsibility for the daily care, organisation, and smooth running of the residence.

The successful candidate will be an experienced private-household professional with excellent housekeeping standards, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. The role combines meticulous cleaning and laundry with household errands, supplier coordination, stock management, and general assistance to the owner.

This is a full-time, live-out position offering long-term stability within a professional and discreet private environment.

Fluency in both French and English is essential.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Laundry

Maintain the apartment to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Carry out all routine housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, cleaning, polishing and general upkeep.
Take responsibility for the family’s laundry, including washing, ironing, folding and organising clothing and household linens.
Ensure rooms are consistently tidy, organised and ready for use.
Monitor the condition and proper functioning of household appliances and equipment.
Identify maintenance issues and arrange or follow up on necessary interventions.

Household Organisation

Monitor household stocks and maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning products, groceries and other supplies.
Liaise with suppliers, tradespeople and contractors when required.
Coordinate access to the property for maintenance or service providers.
Carry out grocery shopping and other household errands.
Handle occasional external errands, including the post office, pharmacy, dry cleaner and pressing.
Keep the owner informed of household matters, maintenance requirements and any issues requiring attention.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Housekeeper with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a private household.

You should be:

Experienced in the standards and expectations of private domestic service.
Highly organised, proactive and capable of working independently.
Naturally attentive to detail, with pride in maintaining an immaculate home.
Able to anticipate the household’s needs rather than simply respond to instructions.
Practical and resourceful, with a genuine ability to resolve everyday household issues.

Professional, discreet and respectful of the family’s privacy.
Warm, polished and personable, with the ability to maintain a positive professional relationship with the owner.
Energetic, reliable and committed to a long-term position.
Fluent in French and English.

Employment: Permanent, full-time
Live-in / Live-out: Live-out
Start date: As soon as possible
Working days: Monday to Saturday
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Languages: French and English required

Salary

€2,700–€3,000 net per month, depending on experience and profile.
