Job Description

A private family based in Dubai, UAE, is looking to recruit an experienced and dependable Live-in Housekeeper to assist with the daily upkeep and organisation of their private residence.

This is a long-term opportunity for a dedicated housekeeping professional who takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming home. The successful candidate will work alongside an existing Housekeeper, sharing daily responsibilities and ensuring that all areas of the villa are consistently maintained to a high standard.

The family is seeking someone with substantial experience in private household environments, ideally around 15 years, who is comfortable working independently, following established routines, and anticipating the family’s everyday requirements.

Reliability, discretion, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to maintaining a well-organised household are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

General housekeeping and property maintenance

Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the entire villa, including bedrooms, bathrooms, reception rooms, living areas, and shared spaces.
Perform daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces.
Carry out periodic deep cleaning to ensure that all areas of the residence remain hygienic and well maintained.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, fixtures, and frequently used household surfaces.
Maintain furniture, flooring, decorative items, and household furnishings using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
Ensure that all rooms remain tidy, organised, and ready for daily family use.

Kitchen assistance and meal preparation

Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen throughout the day.
Wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and ensure that cupboards, countertops, and appliances are properly maintained.
Clean and sanitise food preparation areas in accordance with appropriate hygiene standards.
Assist with preparing simple everyday meals for the family when required.
Ensure kitchen utensils, tableware, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and stored.

Laundry and clothing maintenance

Manage daily laundry requirements, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and putting away garments.
Sort clothing according to fabric type, colour, and individual care instructions.
Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment correctly and safely.
Handle delicate garments, household linens, and personal belongings with appropriate care.
Keep wardrobes, linen cupboards, and laundry areas organised.

Household organisation and coordination

Work closely with the existing Housekeeper to divide responsibilities and maintain consistent housekeeping standards.
Monitor cleaning products, household consumables, and general supplies.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and communicate purchasing requirements when necessary.
Keep storage areas, cleaning cupboards, and household equipment properly arranged.
Support the smooth daily operation of the villa by anticipating housekeeping requirements and addressing tasks proactively.

Job Requirements

Extensive previous experience working as a Housekeeper in private family residences, ideally approximately 15 years.
Previous experience maintaining large villas or managing housekeeping responsibilities within established private households is an advantage.
Excellent practical knowledge of residential cleaning, laundry management, ironing, and household organisation.
Ability to prepare basic family meals and maintain appropriate kitchen hygiene standards.
Trustworthy, discreet, and fully respectful of the family’s privacy and confidentiality.
Highly organised, methodical, and attentive to even the smallest details.
Capable of working independently while cooperating effectively with another Housekeeper.
Able to follow household instructions, established routines, and individual family preferences.
Good spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively with family members and colleagues.
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to building a stable, long-term working relationship.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist with different household requirements as needed.

Working Conditions

Full-time, live-in position based in a private villa in Dubai, UAE.
Six working days per week.
Ten working hours per day, including appropriate breaks.
Private accommodation provided by the employer.
Shared housekeeping responsibilities alongside an existing Housekeeper.
Long-term employment opportunity.

Salary

AED 6,000–7,000 per month, depending on professional experience, qualifications, and suitability for the household.
