Job Description

A private family based in Dubai is looking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Filipina Live-in Housekeeper to take full responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of their luxury villa.

The position is suited to a well-educated, English-speaking professional who can work independently, demonstrate initiative and maintain consistently high standards throughout the property. The successful candidate will oversee cleaning, laundry, household organisation and supplies, while also ensuring that routine maintenance requirements are addressed promptly.

Beyond traditional housekeeping duties, the role involves managing household inventories, placing online orders and coordinating external contractors and service providers. The Housekeeper should be confident using digital platforms and comfortable taking ownership of the practical running of the property.

Private staff accommodation is provided within the villa, and the family is seeking someone interested in building a stable, long-term working relationship.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping and Property Care

Maintain the villa to an impeccable standard, ensuring all rooms and living areas remain clean, tidy and properly organised.
Complete daily cleaning duties and maintain kitchen hygiene, including washing dishes and operating the dishwasher.
Manage the household laundry, including washing, ironing, folding and organising clothing and linens.
Change bed linen regularly and oversee the cleaning of curtains when required.
Monitor the general condition of the property and ensure household areas remain presentable and well maintained.

Household Supplies and Shopping

Keep track of household stock levels, including groceries, fresh fruit, drinking water and everyday essentials.
Prepare and update shopping lists to ensure supplies are replenished in good time.
Independently place online orders through Amazon and grocery delivery platforms.
Prepare simple breakfasts, such as eggs and toast, when required.

Garden and External Areas

Water indoor and outdoor plants according to their specific requirements.
Assist with basic garden upkeep and monitor the general condition of planted areas.
Check swimming pool cleanliness and arrange professional servicing when necessary.

Maintenance and Contractor Coordination

Identify household maintenance issues and communicate them to the employer without delay.
Arrange appointments with external professionals for plumbing, electrical work, appliance repairs, pool maintenance and deep cleaning.
Coordinate access to the property and oversee service providers while work is being carried out.
Obtain the employer’s approval for any expenses before confirming services or authorising work.
Follow up on outstanding maintenance matters to ensure the villa remains fully operational.

Job Requirements

Filipina nationality.
Good educational background, with confident written and spoken English.
Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private villa or large private residence.
Strong housekeeping knowledge and the ability to maintain high standards without constant supervision.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a methodical approach to daily responsibilities.
Comfortable using smartphones, WhatsApp, Amazon and online shopping or delivery applications.
Ability to manage household supplies and coordinate external maintenance providers.
Trustworthy, discreet, dependable and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Verifiable references from previous employers are essential.
Basic gardening knowledge would be an advantage.
