Job Description

A welcoming private family who have recently settled in Abu Dhabi are seeking a dependable and personable Live-in Housekeeper to help maintain their spacious home and support the smooth running of their household.

The family consists of a couple, their three adult sons and two much-loved dogs. With one of the parents working from home, the household offers a friendly and relaxed environment where trust, discretion and a positive attitude are highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable home, enjoys working independently and is happy to provide attentive care for the family’s dogs. This role would suit someone naturally organised, considerate and proactive, who can adapt to the family’s routine and contribute to a pleasant day-to-day atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping and Laundry

Keep the home clean, tidy and well presented through regular daily housekeeping
Carry out laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding and organising clothing
Maintain the organisation of household spaces and ensure everything is kept in order
Assist with occasional meal preparation as requested
Clean outdoor furniture and keep terraces and other exterior areas neat and presentable

Dog Care and Household Support

Take responsibility for the daily wellbeing of the family’s two dogs, including feeding, walking and companionship
Provide affectionate and attentive care, ensuring the dogs receive plenty of attention
Look after the dogs when the family travels or is away from home
Follow the family’s instructions regarding household routines and the dogs’ individual needs
Anticipate everyday requirements and help ensure the household runs smoothly

Job Requirements

Previous experience as a housekeeper, ideally within a private family residence
Friendly, cheerful and approachable, with a naturally positive attitude
Discreet and respectful of the family’s privacy
Well organised, reliable and capable of managing responsibilities independently
Practical, proactive and able to use sound judgement in everyday situations
A genuine love of dogs and confidence in handling and caring for them
Flexible and comfortable working in a household where a family member is regularly present
A valid driving licence would be an advantage
Available to start as soon as possible

Working Conditions

Position: Full-time, live-in Housekeeper
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom
Employment visa sponsored by the family
Medical insurance provided
Meals included
One day off per week
30 days of paid annual leave
