Interior & Household Care

• Maintain the residence to a consistently high standard, including cleaning, dusting, polishing and general upkeep.
• Prepare bedrooms and living areas prior to the employer’s arrival.
• Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, folding and appropriate storage.
• Monitor household supplies and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Prepare simple meals when the employer is staying at the property.
• Carry out grocery shopping and other household errands as required.
• Receive deliveries and ensure items are correctly handled and stored.

Garden & Grounds Maintenance

• Take full responsibility for the ongoing care of the property’s gardens and outdoor areas.
• Mow lawns and maintain borders, plants and landscaped areas.
• Carry out pruning, trimming, weeding, watering and planting.
• Monitor the health and condition of plants and garden areas.
• Maintain gardening tools, machinery and outdoor equipment.
• Keep terraces and outdoor furniture clean, presentable and well maintained.
• Oversee the upkeep of the swimming pool and pool house.

Property & Technical Maintenance

• Monitor the general condition of the residence and identify maintenance requirements.
• Carry out practical handyman duties and minor repairs where appropriate.
• Monitor essential systems and equipment, including air conditioning, heating and technical/utility areas.
• Coordinate with external contractors and tradespeople when specialist intervention is required.
• Welcome contractors to the property and supervise or follow up on their work.
• Ensure maintenance issues are reported promptly to the employer.

Security & Caretaking

• Maintain a discreet and vigilant presence at the property.
• Monitor and safeguard the residence when the employer is away.
• Operate and oversee the property’s alarm system.
• Ensure the house and grounds remain secure and well maintained between visits.
• Receive deliveries and visitors appropriately.
• Maintain awareness of any issues that could affect the security or condition of the property.

Vehicles & Administration

• Drive when required for household-related activities and errands.
• Keep household vehicles clean and in good condition.
• Monitor servicing, maintenance schedules and vehicle records.
• Maintain an accurate account book for household-related expenses.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the employer regarding the property and any required works.
