Household Management & Team Leadership

• Lead, organise and supervise a household team of approximately 20 employees.
• Coordinate the work of chefs, housekeepers, domestic staff, drivers, maintenance and security personnel.
• Establish clear standards of service, presentation and professional conduct.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure duties are completed efficiently.
• Participate in the recruitment, induction and training of new household employees.
• Maintain effective communication between the employer and the wider household team.
• Report directly to the employer regarding household operations and staff matters.

Butler Service & Art de la Table

• Deliver impeccable table service for daily meals, private dinners and larger receptions.
• Prepare and oversee table settings according to the occasion and required level of formality.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of French and English-style service.
• Coordinate beverage service and ensure guests are attended to discreetly and professionally.
• Ensure all elements of table service run smoothly from preparation through to completion.
• Welcome guests appropriately and manage seating arrangements in accordance with protocol and individual status.

Receptions & Events

• Plan and coordinate formal and informal private receptions.
• Organise service requirements, staffing and table arrangements for special events.
• Anticipate the employer’s requirements and ensure every detail is prepared in advance.
• Maintain impeccable standards of etiquette, presentation and guest service throughout each event.

Inventory, Cellar & Household Supplies

• Maintain accurate oversight of china, glassware, silverware, table linens and other dining inventory.
• Manage the household’s wine cellar, including stock levels and organisation.
• Monitor supplies of household linen, cleaning products and other operational items.
• Ensure adequate stock is available ahead of meals, receptions and events.
• Maintain appropriate standards of care and presentation for valuable household items.

International Travel

• Accompany the employer when travelling between residences.
• Provide consistent butler service and household support during stays in the USA and Middle East.
• Adapt efficiently to different residences, schedules, guests and service requirements.
