Care & Daily Routine

• Take primary responsibility for the four-year-old’s daily care and wellbeing.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding and dental hygiene.
• Follow the family’s established daily routine and provide consistent, attentive care.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities adapted to the child’s abilities and interests.
• Take the child to school for an 8:30 AM drop-off.
• Supervise her afternoon nap at approximately 1:00 PM.
• Organise an afternoon activity before dinner and the evening bedtime routine.
• Ensure the child is settled and ready for bed by approximately 8:00 PM.
• Provide occasional care for her eight-year-old brother when required.

Additional Household Support

• Provide occasional weekend childcare when the parents are away.
• Keep children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings tidy and organised.
• Clean and put away children’s toys and activity areas.
• Handle light laundry relating to the children.
• Assist with other child-related household tasks as required.
• Work cooperatively with the parents and respect their hands-on approach to family life.

Handover & Continuity of Care

• Participate in a thorough handover with the family’s current nanny before she leaves.
• Learn the children’s established routines, preferences and daily requirements.
• Maintain consistency in the child’s care throughout the temporary assignment.
• Communicate openly with the parents regarding the children’s routines and needs.
