• Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for the family’s four children.
• Take primary responsibility for the younger children during the morning and afternoon periods, including the baby and preschool-aged child.
• Establish and maintain predictable daily routines that balance learning, play, rest, and outdoor activities.
• Manage school drop-offs, pick-ups, activities, playdates, and other children’s commitments.
• Work closely with the second nanny to ensure seamless coverage and continuity throughout the day.
• Typically care for approximately two children at a time while remaining flexible according to the family’s schedule.

Educational & Academic Support

• Take an active role in supporting the children’s educational development.
• Assist with homework, reading, and assignments provided by tutors and schools.
• Encourage early literacy, numeracy, independent thinking, and curiosity.
• Introduce age-appropriate educational activities that make learning engaging and enjoyable.
• A background in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, teaching, tutoring, or another child-centered educational approach would be highly valued.

Creative Enrichment

• Bring personal creative interests and talents into the children’s daily lives.
• Organize activities involving music, arts and crafts, storytelling, drama, imaginative play, or other enriching pursuits.
• Encourage the children to explore their interests while developing confidence and independence.
• Create stimulating, screen-free activities suited to different ages and developmental stages.

The household follows a zero-screen-time approach, with the children encouraged to engage in imaginative, cooperative, educational, and active play.

Children’s Household Support

• Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Manage children’s laundry and ensure clothing and personal belongings are organized.
• Keep bedrooms, play areas, and children’s belongings neat and orderly.
• Assist with online household and children’s shopping through platforms such as Amazon and FreshDirect.
• Work alongside the family’s housekeeper, who is responsible for deep cleaning.

Teamwork & Communication

• Collaborate closely with the second nanny to maintain consistent routines and standards.
• Communicate effectively regarding schedules, children’s activities, homework, appointments, and daily developments.
• Ensure smooth handovers between caregivers.
• Take ownership of the day while respecting the family’s established systems and preferences.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with both parents and the wider household team.
