Connectez-vousOur client is seeking a dedicated Domestic Couple to oversee the smooth running and upkeep of a private secondary residence located near Evreux, in the Eure region of France. This permanent role comes with on-site accommodation and offers stability within a welcoming family environment.
One member of the couple will hold a full-time contract (35 hours per week), while the second will support on a part-time basis (17.5 hours per week). Both will work in close partnership to ensure the home and grounds are maintained to the highest standard.
Household Management
Daily cleaning and upkeep of the residence and outbuildings.
Full linen care, including washing, ironing, and organization.
Preparing fresh, balanced meals when the principals are in residence.
Occasional informal table setting and service.
Shopping for groceries and household supplies.
Monitoring and replenishing cleaning product inventories.
Grounds & Property Care
Gardening duties such as mowing, pruning, watering, weeding, raking, and clearing leaves.
Pool, pool house, and garden furniture maintenance.
Light maintenance of technical equipment (oil boiler, fireplace, etc.).
Waste disposal and recycling.
General property oversight and security.
Additional Support
Small DIY projects and minor repairs.
Liaising with outside contractors and supervising their work.
Driving the principals or their guests (including station transfers).
Maintaining household vehicles (cleaning, fueling, and scheduling upkeep).
Managing petty cash for household expenses with accurate reporting.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar caretaker or domestic couple role.
Flexible, reliable, discreet, and highly versatile.
Comfortable in a rural setting and with the presence of pets (a dog lives on the estate).
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to adapt when the principals are present.
Holder of a valid driver’s license (at least one member).
Spoken French required.
