Housekeeping & Apartment Maintenance

• Maintain the apartment to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Carry out regular dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and polishing.
• Clean floors, windows, bathrooms and other areas of the residence.
• Ensure bedrooms and living spaces remain neat, comfortable and well organised.
• Identify any maintenance issues or household requirements and report them appropriately.
• Take care of household items, furnishings and surfaces using the correct cleaning methods and products.

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

• Manage the complete household laundry cycle.
• Wash, dry, iron and carefully fold clothing and household linens.
• Store garments and linens appropriately.
• Take particular care with delicate fabrics and personal clothing.
• Arrange dry cleaning and clothing-related services when required.

Cooking & Meal Preparation

Cooking is an important part of the position.

The Housekeeper will be responsible for preparing fresh, healthy and varied home-cooked meals according to the client’s preferences and routine.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning everyday meals.
• Preparing balanced breakfasts, lunches and dinners as required.
• Grocery shopping and sourcing fresh ingredients.
• Monitoring food supplies and household provisions.
• Maintaining appropriate food storage and kitchen hygiene.
• Preparing simple and informal table service.
• Adapting menus according to the client’s preferences.

A genuine passion for cooking and confidence preparing healthy, well-balanced cuisine are essential.

Errands & Household Administration

The successful candidate will also provide practical day-to-day support, including:

• Grocery shopping and other household purchases.
• Collecting and dropping off dry cleaning.
• Occasional visits to the post office or pharmacy.
• Receiving parcels and deliveries.
• Monitoring household expenses and providing clear expense reports.
• Managing household supplies and ensuring essential items are replenished.

Personal & Travel Support

The Housekeeper may occasionally be asked to accompany the client outside the home.

This may include:

• Accompanying the employer on local outings when requested.
• Providing practical support during appointments or activities.
• Travelling with the employer to his secondary residence approximately two hours from Paris.
• Supporting the household during stays at the secondary property.

These responsibilities will be occasional and adapted to the client’s requirements.
