Job Description

A private household in Al Barari, Dubai, UAE, is looking for an experienced and dependable Live-in Housekeeper / Maid to take responsibility for the daily upkeep and presentation of a five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in private households and a genuine understanding of the high standards expected in a luxury home. Attention to detail, discretion, initiative, and reliability are essential. The household has two cats, so candidates must be comfortable working around pets.

This is a long-term live-in opportunity for a professional Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home and can work confidently without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintain the entire residence to an exceptional standard of cleanliness, order, and presentation.
Complete daily housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, and general tidying.
Thoroughly clean and maintain all bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, and other areas of the property.
Prepare bedrooms and ensure linens, towels, and personal areas are neat and properly arranged.
Manage the household’s laundry, ironing, folding, and careful handling of clothing, linens, and delicate fabrics.
Keep household items, cupboards, storage areas, and personal spaces well organised.
Maintain the kitchen in excellent condition and work cooperatively with the family’s chef.
Monitor cleaning products and household supplies and notify the employer when replenishment is required.
Help maintain a hygienic and comfortable environment for the family’s two cats.
Anticipate the household’s daily needs and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the family’s privacy at all times.
Work collaboratively with other household staff while remaining capable of managing responsibilities independently.

Job Requirements

Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a private residence, luxury household, or similarly high-standard environment.
Strong practical knowledge of cleaning, laundry, ironing, and household organisation.
Excellent attention to detail with consistently high standards of presentation.
Proactive, organised, efficient, and capable of working independently.
Reliable, hardworking, discreet, and trustworthy.
Comfortable living and working in a household with cats.
Professional appearance and a positive, respectful attitude.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to follow household standards and work cooperatively alongside a chef and other staff.
Strong, verifiable references from previous employers.
Genuine interest in securing a stable, long-term position.

Working Conditions

Location: Al Barari, Dubai, UAE
Position: Live-in Housekeeper / Maid
Schedule: 8 hours per day, 6 days per week
Days off: 1 day per week
Accommodation: Private bedroom within the residence
Food: Separate agreed monthly food allowance
Start date: Beginning of September 2026
Visa: UAE employment visa provided
Medical insurance: Provided
Flights: Return flight ticket provided

Salary

Salary is negotiable and will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and suitability for the position.
