Log inAn influential South African executive is seeking an experienced Domestic Couple to take charge of his primary residence in Johannesburg, ensuring it is maintained and managed to the highest private service standards.
This live-in role is ideally suited for a couple with international experience in luxury households or five-star hospitality, bringing discretion, professionalism, and long-term dedication. Working together, the couple will ensure smooth daily operations, impeccable service, and guest readiness while upholding the principle of “invisible yet ever-present” household management.
The property is a prestigious 3-acre estate with a 37,700 sq. ft. residence that requires a proactive, hands-on couple to manage staff, maintain order, and deliver five-star lifestyle support.
Partner 1: House Manager, Butler & Private Chef
Oversee household and estate operations with precision and discretion.
Provide formal and informal butler service for the principal and VIP guests.
Create refined dining experiences with high-level culinary expertise.
Plan menus, prepare fine meals, and handle wine service and pairing.
Manage events, dinner parties, and special occasions seamlessly.
Partner 2: Housekeeping & Presentation Specialist
Ensure the residence is maintained to flawless standards at all times.
Manage housekeeping routines, wardrobe care, and linen upkeep.
Keep guest suites prepared and ready for high-profile visitors.
Support daily organization and overall household presentation.
Joint Responsibilities
Recruit, manage, and supervise household staff.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure service culture is maintained.
Oversee budgets, supplier relations, inventories, and procurement.
Manage contractors and ensure smooth maintenance operations.
Provide a flexible presence while respecting the principal’s privacy.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in UHNW households or luxury hotels.
Strong culinary skills with formal chef training or private chef background.
Proven ability to manage estates and staff with discretion and professionalism.
Long-term loyalty and integrity demonstrated in prior roles.
Excellent communication in English (Tagalog a plus).
Hospitality or culinary qualifications highly valued.
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa (37,700 sq. ft residence, 3 acres).
Contract: Full-time, live-in, permanent.
