Job Description

A private principal based in Dubai, UAE, is looking to appoint an accomplished Travelling Butler to deliver exceptional personal service and oversee household operations across multiple residences.

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to work within a private household, supporting the principal both in Dubai and during frequent international travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of personal service, wardrobe management, guest relations, and household organization.

Working in close collaboration with the principal’s Personal Assistant and other household employees, the Butler will help ensure that all arrangements are handled efficiently and that the principal’s expectations are consistently met.

The family is seeking a polished, adaptable, and highly discreet individual who is comfortable working in a demanding private environment and travelling internationally at short notice.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized butler services to the principal, anticipating individual preferences and ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
Oversee the organization, care, and maintenance of the principal’s personal belongings, wardrobe, accessories, and valuables.
Coordinate packing and unpacking for domestic and international trips, ensuring all luggage, clothing, and personal effects are prepared in advance.
Manage wardrobe requirements, including garment care, laundry coordination, ironing, and appropriate storage of clothing and accessories.
Accompany the principal during domestic and overseas travel, ensuring personal and logistical requirements are taken care of throughout each journey.
Prepare guest suites and oversee accommodation arrangements across the principal’s various residences.
Welcome guests and provide attentive, personalized hospitality in accordance with the principal’s preferences and household protocols.
Ensure household items, furnishings, and personal effects are properly maintained and presented to the required standards.
Assist with the organization and administration of medication requirements, following the principal’s instructions and established procedures.
Liaise closely with the Personal Assistant, housekeeping team, and other household employees to coordinate daily priorities and operational requirements.
Support the supervision and coordination of household staff, ensuring responsibilities are carried out efficiently when required.
Monitor guest requirements and respond promptly to requests, maintaining a discreet and service-focused approach.
Adapt to changing schedules, travel itineraries, and operational needs across multiple properties.

Job Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional Butler experience, preferably within UHNW or high-net-worth private households.
Previous experience supporting principals across multiple residences or providing travelling butler services is highly desirable.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Excellent knowledge of luxury service standards, formal hospitality, wardrobe management, and personal household service.
Experience coordinating international travel, luggage preparation, and personal arrangements.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively alongside Personal Assistants and multidisciplinary household teams.
Previous experience supervising or coordinating other household employees is an advantage.
Impeccable personal presentation, professional conduct, and exceptional attention to detail.
High levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality when handling private matters and valuable possessions.
Flexible approach to working hours and fully comfortable with frequent international travel.
Ability to anticipate requirements, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced private household environment.

Working Conditions

Full-time position based in Dubai, UAE.
Six working days per week.
Fully furnished apartment provided if accommodation is required.
Uniform supplied by the employer.
Extensive domestic and international travel alongside the principal.
All work-related travel expenses and visa arrangements covered by the employer.
Flexibility required to work across multiple private residences.
Travel documentation and logistical arrangements supported by the employer.

Salary

From AED 8,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability for the position.
