Log inAn established household in central Toronto is seeking a talented and grounded Private Chef to join their long-term domestic team. The principals are passionate about high-quality food, wellness, and elegant yet relaxed dining. This role offers a stable, rewarding opportunity for a professional chef who enjoys crafting healthy, flavorful meals in a fully equipped modern kitchen.
The position suits a culinary professional who values collaboration, creativity, and the joy of cooking for appreciative, food-loving individuals in an intimate setting.
Prepare daily lunches and dinners for one to two principals, with occasional small gatherings of up to four guests.
Create seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired menus focused on seafood, fresh vegetables, and balanced nutrition.
Design and present weekly menu plans in coordination with the principals.
Maintain two kitchens to immaculate standards, ensuring all appliances, cookware, and dishware remain pristine and well-organized.
Manage provisioning and inventory, source fresh local ingredients, and coordinate with household staff during entertaining.
Provide refined service during private meals and assist with table presentation when hosting.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Private Chef or in fine-dining environments.
Passionate about healthy, contemporary cuisine and able to adapt to evolving dietary preferences.
Highly organized, efficient, and confident in planning and executing menus independently.
Discreet, professional, and personable with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Holds a valid driver’s license and is legally permitted to work in Canada.
Schedule:
Three weeks: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
One week per month: Tuesday to Saturday (supporting weekend entertaining)
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, live-out
Start Date: As soon as possible
