Job Description

A British family based in The Lakes, Dubai, is looking for a reliable and experienced Live-in Housekeeper to take care of their four-bedroom villa and assist with the practical needs of the household.

The family has two dogs, so the successful candidate must be comfortable around animals and confident providing them with daily care and attention. The position also includes occasional meal preparation, grocery shopping and assistance during family gatherings.

The ideal candidate will be an English-speaking Filipino housekeeper with previous experience working for British families, a valid UAE driving licence and a proven ability to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming home. Basic cooking skills are essential, although recipes and instructions will be provided.

Accommodation is provided in Production City, with a separate bedroom, private bathroom and kitchen.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping and property care: Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of the family’s spacious, approximately 3,000 sq. ft. villa, comprising four bedrooms.
Laundry and ironing: Take responsibility for washing, ironing, folding and organising clothing, linen and other household textiles.
Dog care: Look after the family’s two dogs, ensuring they receive appropriate attention, interaction and day-to-day care.
Basic meal preparation: Prepare simple meals several times a week, following the family’s recipes and preferences.
Driving and errands: Undertake grocery shopping and other household errands as required, using a valid UAE driving licence. Be available to drive in emergency situations when necessary.
Guest and event assistance: Provide additional household support during parties, family gatherings and special occasions, with flexibility around working hours when needed.
General household organisation: Keep household supplies organised, maintain tidy living spaces and ensure the property remains presentable.
Independent working: Manage daily responsibilities efficiently and maintain consistently high standards without close supervision.

Job Requirements

Filipino nationality and fluent spoken English.
Previous experience as a housekeeper in a private household, preferably with British employers.
Practical experience working in a live-in domestic role.
A genuine affection for dogs and previous hands-on experience caring for them.
A valid UAE driving licence, essential for shopping, errands and emergency driving.
Confidence preparing simple meals and following recipes.
Strong housekeeping skills, including laundry, ironing and general household organisation.
Dependable, discreet and trustworthy, with a flexible and proactive attitude.
Comfortable working independently and adapting to the family’s changing requirements.
Willingness to assist during occasional events and special occasions.

Working Conditions

Location: The Lakes, Dubai, with staff accommodation provided in Production City.
Accommodation: Live-in arrangement with a separate bedroom, private bathroom and kitchen.
Working schedule: Six days per week, with some flexibility required for family events.
Visa: Sponsorship provided by the employer.
Meals: Not included.
Driving: A valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.

Salary

AED 8,000 per month.
