Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Guardian Couple to take full responsibility for the care, upkeep, and smooth operation of a beautiful secondary residence in Saint-Tropez (Var). This elegant villa is used by the owners for roughly half the year and requires year-round attention to ensure it remains perfectly maintained in their absence.

The position is available from April/May 2026, offered on a full-time permanent basis, with private independent accommodation included.

Responsibilities

Interior Management

Daily cleaning and upkeep of all living areas.
Complete linen care: washing, ironing, organising wardrobes.
Monitoring and replenishing household supplies.
Grocery shopping and miscellaneous errands.
Preparing meals and offering table service when the family is in residence.

Garden & Outdoor Maintenance

Full garden upkeep: mowing, pruning, planting, watering, seasonal care.
Daily supervision and maintenance of the swimming pool and pool house.
Monitoring the technical room and general outdoor systems.
Outdoor plant care and maintenance of terraces and garden furniture.
Waste sorting and management.
Ensuring all exterior equipment remains in excellent condition.

Technical & Practical Support

Performing small repairs and general DIY tasks.
Providing driving assistance when needed.
Maintaining the vehicles (cleaning, servicing schedules, logs).
Managing package deliveries and household logistics.

Security & Oversight

Vigilant property monitoring and presence on site.
Managing alarms, surveillance cameras, and remote monitoring systems.
Greeting and supervising contractors, suppliers, and tradespeople.
Providing clear and regular updates to the employer.

Job Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position within a private household
Highly versatile, efficient, and autonomous
Strong sense of service and responsibility
Comfortable preparing simple, quality meals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs
Absolute discretion and respect for confidentiality
Fluent in French and English
Both candidates must hold a valid driving licence

Salary

€6,000 gross per month for the couple, depending on experience and profile.
