Log inA distinguished family is seeking a reliable and experienced Domestic Couple to oversee the day-to-day running and upkeep of their primary residence in Mougins, in the South of France. This is a full-time, long-term position with independent accommodation provided on the property.
The couple will be responsible for ensuring that both the interior and exterior of the estate are kept in impeccable condition. From daily housekeeping and laundry management to garden care and light maintenance, the role requires versatility, autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Ensure the smooth functioning and maintenance of household equipment and systems.
Perform daily housekeeping tasks: cleaning, dusting, polishing, and overall interior care.
Manage all laundry needs, including washing, ironing, mending, and wardrobe organization.
Handle food shopping, stock control, and general household provisioning.
Prepare meals and provide occasional table service when requested.
Assist with errands such as parcel collection, pharmacy runs, or dry cleaning.
Maintain the vegetable garden and oversee the pool alongside external specialists.
Care for outdoor areas, terraces, and garden furniture.
Monitor utilities and report irregularities (water, electricity, etc.).
Carry out minor repairs, DIY tasks, and basic troubleshooting.
Provide occasional driving support and maintain family vehicles, including cleaning and service scheduling.
Supervise external contractors and service providers, ensuring work is carried out to standard.
Manage waste disposal and recycling.
Keep a monthly expense log and manage a household budget for small purchases.
Oversee site security and manage video surveillance.
Care for the family dog in the owners’ absence.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar live-in role.
Discreet, trustworthy, and highly dependable.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in French is required; English or Russian would be advantageous.
Both must hold valid driver’s licenses.
