Job Description

A private client based in the prestigious 7th arrondissement of Paris is seeking a highly organised, discreet, and experienced Housekeeper to assume full responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of their primary residence.

This elegant apartment of approximately 100 m² requires the attention of a professional who takes genuine pride in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, and household presentation. The successful candidate will work independently, ensuring the residence remains immaculate while respecting the privacy and lifestyle of the employer at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trustworthy and detail-oriented individual seeking a stable, long-term role within a refined private household environment.

Permanent Contract (CDI) – Part-Time (25 hours per week). Immediate start available

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Property Care

  • Maintain the residence to an impeccable standard through thorough daily cleaning.
  • Care for floors, surfaces, furniture, windows, mirrors, and decorative items.
  • Perform vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and specialist household maintenance tasks.
  • Clean and maintain valuable household items, including silverware, porcelain, and decorative pieces.
  • Ensure the balcony remains clean, organised, and well presented.
  • Organise wardrobes and dressing areas with precision and attention to detail.
  • Monitor the condition of the property and promptly report any maintenance issues or irregularities.

Laundry & Garment Care

  • Manage all household laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, and storage.
  • Provide expert care for delicate fabrics, luxury garments, and fine textiles.
  • Maintain wardrobes and clothing collections in excellent condition.

Household Logistics & Errands

  • Purchase groceries and household necessities from local shops and suppliers.
  • Run household errands such as dry-cleaning collection, pharmacy visits, and postal services.
  • Monitor cleaning product stocks and ensure supplies are replenished as needed.
  • Welcome and coordinate external contractors or service providers when required.

Household Administration & Reporting

  • Provide clear and regular updates to the employer regarding household matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of household purchases and expenses.
  • Assist in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the residence.

Cooking Support (Appreciated)

  • Ability to prepare simple, fresh, seasonal meals would be considered a valuable asset.
  • Assist with light meal preparation when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience within a private household, luxury residence, or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional standards.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible, versatile, and capable of managing multiple household responsibilities.
  • Absolute discretion and respect for confidentiality.
  • Professional attitude with impeccable presentation and conduct.
  • Fluent French is essential.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative when appropriate.
  • Respectful of established household routines and employer preferences.
  • Verifiable professional references are required.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Paris 7th Arrondissement, France
  • Contract Type: Permanent Contract (CDI)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Hours: 25 hours per week
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary

€18.00 to €20.00 net per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall profile.
