A private household in central Edinburgh is seeking a discreet and dependable live-out Housekeeper to maintain a beautifully presented three-bedroom residence. The position begins in December 2025 and offers a stable, long-term opportunity in a warm and well-organised home.

The successful candidate will handle daily cleaning, laundry, wardrobe care, and household errands, while also providing light pet care for two affectionate cats. This role requires someone proactive, trustworthy, and with a keen eye for detail, ideally living within easy commuting distance of Waverley Station or Shoemakers’ Square.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the home to a high standard.
Manage laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation.
Run light errands and household shopping when required.
Provide attentive care to two friendly cats (feeding, cleaning, etc.).
Ensure discretion, reliability, and professional boundaries at all times.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a housekeeper in a private household.
Confident and comfortable around pets, especially cats.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Honest, discreet, and able to manage tasks independently.
Must live locally or be within a reasonable commute to central Edinburgh.
