Job Description

A private client is looking for an experienced and dependable Housekeeper to maintain an apartment in the prestigious 16th arrondissement of Paris.

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the property clean, well organised and running smoothly, while providing additional practical support with laundry, wardrobe organisation, household shopping and occasional meal preparation.

This position would suit a versatile household professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works independently and can adapt to the client’s changing requirements. A proactive attitude, excellent organisational skills and a strong sense of discretion are essential.

The role is available immediately and is offered on a part-time, self-employed service basis, with a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Apartment maintenance: Carry out regular cleaning and upkeep, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, floor care, polishing and other tasks required to maintain the property to a high standard.
Laundry and garment care: Sort, wash, dry and iron clothing and household linen, ensuring everything is properly cared for and stored.
Wardrobe organisation: Keep dressing rooms tidy and organised, maintaining a clear and practical arrangement of clothing and personal belongings.
Cleaning supplies: Monitor household cleaning products and supplies, arrange replenishment and ensure essential items remain available.
Service provider coordination: Arrange and facilitate visits from external contractors and service providers, ensuring access and communicating any relevant requirements.
Household errands: Undertake occasional errands and practical tasks on behalf of the client.
Shopping and provisions: Manage everyday household purchases and ensure the apartment is appropriately stocked.
Meal preparation: Prepare meals when requested, taking into account the client’s preferences and instructions.
Property reporting: Inform the employer promptly of any maintenance issues, damaged items or malfunctioning equipment.
Regular communication: Provide updates on completed tasks, household requirements and any matters requiring the client’s attention.

Job Requirements

At least five years of professional housekeeping experience, ideally in a private residence or comparable high-standard environment.
Fluent in French, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with the employer and service providers.
Independent, organised and energetic, with the ability to manage daily responsibilities without close supervision.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining an immaculate living environment.
Resourceful and adaptable, with the initiative to anticipate household needs and respond effectively to changing priorities.
Comfortable managing laundry, ironing, wardrobe care and general household organisation.
A genuine interest in cooking and confidence preparing meals would be a significant advantage.
Trustworthy and discreet, with a strong understanding of confidentiality in a private household.
A valid driving licence would be beneficial.

Working Conditions

Position: Part-Time Housekeeper.
Location: Paris, 75016.
Start date: As soon as possible.
Contract: Self-employed service provider (auto-entrepreneur).
Working hours: Approximately 20 hours per week.
Schedule: To be agreed with the client.

Salary

€22–€25 per hour, depending on experience and suitability.
