Job Description

A private family based in Le Touquet, Pas-de-Calais (62) is looking for a reliable and experienced Housekeeper / Childcare Professional to support the smooth running of their home while providing after-school care for their 3.5-year-old child.

This is a part-time, permanent position combining high-quality household support with attentive childcare. The ideal candidate will be organised, autonomous, warm with children, and comfortable taking responsibility for a range of practical tasks throughout the week.

The family is looking for someone dependable who can become a trusted presence in the household and provide consistent support to both the parents and their child.

Responsibilities

Household Management

Maintain the home to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Carry out regular dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and floor and window cleaning.
Manage laundry from washing through to ironing, folding, and storage.
Monitor household supplies and ensure essential products remain adequately stocked.
Complete grocery shopping and other everyday purchases.
Prepare fresh, healthy, and varied meals for the family.
Handle local errands, including dry cleaning, post office, pharmacy visits, and similar tasks.
Receive parcels and household deliveries.
Welcome and coordinate with tradespeople, technicians, and other external service providers.
Walk and care for the family’s small dog.
Keep the household organised and report relevant matters to the parents.

After-School Childcare

The successful candidate will provide attentive care for the family’s young child after school, including:

Collecting and settling the child after school as required.
Preparing snacks and simple meals.
Organising age-appropriate games, activities, and outings.
Taking the child for walks and outdoor activities.
Supporting reading, learning, and early educational activities.
Providing calm and engaging companionship.
Assisting with medical appointments when required.
Managing the evening bath and associated routines.
Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Keeping the parents informed about the child’s day and any relevant matters.

Job Requirements

The family is seeking a mature and dependable professional with solid experience in both household duties and childcare.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with children.
Previous experience in a private household is highly valued.
Confident managing household responsibilities independently.
Structured, organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Reliable, conscientious, and attentive to detail.
Warm and comfortable interacting with young children.
Good understanding of age-appropriate activities and routines.
Comfortable working around pets.
Flexible and able to adapt to the family’s changing requirements.
Discreet and respectful of the family’s privacy and confidentiality.
Fluent French.
Full driving licence required.
Willingness to accompany the family during travel would be an advantage.

Working Conditions

Position: Housekeeper / Childcare Professional
Location: Le Touquet, Pas-de-Calais (62), France
Contract: Permanent – CDI
Working Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Schedule: To be agreed with the family
Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary

€2,180 – €2,560 gross per month, depending on experience and suitability.
