Job Description

A year-round private household located in Paris 16ᵉ is seeking an experienced and versatile Housekeeper to join an established domestic team. This role is designed for a discreet, well-organised professional capable of overseeing the smooth daily operation of a high-standard Parisian residence.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the household, coordinating staff and service providers, and delivering a refined yet personable level of service. The position requires autonomy, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility within a trusted family environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure the day-to-day organisation and efficient running of the residence.
Coordinate and supervise housekeeping staff, dog sitters, and external service providers.
Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, and order throughout the apartment.
Plan and manage staff schedules to ensure seamless household operations.
Oversee household inventories and manage supplies (food, cleaning products, consumables).
Set tables and provide service, both informal and formal, particularly during business lunches and family gatherings.
Assist with the preparation of breakfasts and family meals when required.
Welcome guests, prepare the residence for receptions, and liaise closely with the Chef de cuisine.
Prepare luggage for the principals during travel periods.
Deliver a personalised service by anticipating needs, managing purchases, handling deliveries, and responding to special requests.
Organise premium bookings, including travel arrangements and restaurant reservations.
Drive for the family as required.
Assist with administrative tasks such as invoice tracking, subscriptions, and supplier relations.
Monitor the proper functioning of household equipment and home automation systems, reporting any issues promptly.
Communicate efficiently via iPhone, including reporting, emails, photo updates, and expense tracking.
Ensure the well-being, comfort, and daily care of the family’s three dogs and two cats.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a private residence or luxury hotel.
Professional, caring, well organised, and adaptable.
Discreet, proactive, reliable, and trustworthy, with a calm and reassuring presence.
Able to work to very high standards with strict respect for confidentiality and discretion.
Experienced in staff coordination and schedule management.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage pressure effectively.
Capable of working independently while collaborating smoothly with a team.
Strong service mindset and attention to hospitality standards.
Able to anticipate needs and handle unexpected situations with confidence.
Comfortable and experienced working in a pet-friendly household.
Seeking a stable, long-term professional position.
Flexible and mobile, holding a valid EU passport.
Fluent French, spoken and written.
Valid Category B driving licence.

Working Conditions

Position: Housekeeper (M/F)
Location: Paris 16ᵉ
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (to be confirmed with the employer)

Salary

€4,150 to €4,500 gross per month, depending on experience and profile.
