A private household in Amagansett, New York, is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to provide temporary, part-time support through the end of November.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the residence to a high standard, managing laundry and meal preparation, and assisting with the smooth running of daily household activities. The role also involves coordinating with service providers, handling deliveries, and completing occasional errands.

Accommodation will be available on working days, making this opportunity particularly suitable for candidates based outside the local area who are comfortable staying at the property during their scheduled shifts. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Keep the residence consistently clean, tidy, and well presented.
Manage the complete laundry process, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and organising garments and linens.
Prepare meals in line with the family’s preferences and any dietary requirements.
Welcome vendors and contractors, facilitate access, and coordinate their visits as required.
Receive deliveries and ensure packages are handled appropriately.
Carry out household errands and assist with routine daily requirements.
Maintain an orderly environment and ensure all household areas are cared for to a high standard.

Job Requirements

Previous experience as a housekeeper in a private household is essential.
Strong practical housekeeping skills and a thorough approach to cleaning and organisation.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent standards.
Reliable, discreet, and capable of working independently.
Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
A flexible and professional attitude towards the needs of the household.
Spanish language skills are an advantage but are not essential.
Availability for the specified part-time schedule and commitment to the temporary assignment through the end of November.
