A private household in Neuilly-sur-Seine (92) is seeking an experienced, versatile and reliable Multi-Purpose Housekeeper to support the smooth running of the family home.

The successful candidate will combine high standards of housekeeping with family cooking and after-school childcare. This is a varied position suited to someone organised, autonomous and naturally comfortable working around children.

The family is looking for a dependable professional who can take responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of the home while providing warm and attentive support to the children when required.

This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping

Maintain the home to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Carry out routine cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and polishing.
Clean floors, windows and other household surfaces with appropriate care.
Ensure rooms are kept tidy, organised and ready for family use.
Maintain the overall presentation and comfort of the residence.

Laundry & Household Organisation

Manage the family’s laundry from washing through to ironing, folding and storage.
Organise household linen and ensure supplies are properly maintained.
Monitor food, cleaning products and other household provisions.
Maintain household inventories and identify items requiring replenishment.
Keep storage areas organised and well maintained.

Cooking & Errands

Prepare fresh, balanced and varied meals for the family.
Plan meals according to the family’s preferences and requirements.
Purchase groceries and other household supplies.
Carry out occasional household errands, including visits to the dry cleaner, post office and pharmacy.
Receive parcels, deliveries and other household items when required.

Childcare

Collect and care for the 9-year-old child after school.
Provide attentive supervision and support throughout the after-school routine.
Be present when the 13-year-old child returns home from school.
Ensure the children are safe, comfortable and appropriately supervised.
Communicate with the parents regarding the children’s daily routine and any relevant matters.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working in private households and be comfortable combining several areas of responsibility.

The family is seeking someone who is:

Experienced in a similar household position, with at least 5 years of professional experience.
Comfortable working in a family environment with children.
Confident preparing healthy and varied family meals.
Dynamic, positive and proactive.
Autonomous and capable of organising daily responsibilities independently.
Versatile and willing to assist wherever reasonably required.
Well organised with strong attention to detail.
Flexible and able to adapt to occasional changes in the family’s requirements.
Reliable, discreet and respectful of the family’s privacy.
Fluent in French; English would be an advantage.

A professional attitude, warm personality and genuine sense of responsibility are particularly important for this family.

Contract: Permanent contract
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Working hours: To be agreed with the family

Salary

From €3,200 gross per month, depending on experience, qualifications and overall suitability.
