Job Description

A private employer is seeking an experienced and dependable Housekeeper to take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of a prestigious property in Enghien-les-Bains, Val-d’Oise.

The property combines private and professional areas, requiring a versatile professional who is comfortable managing both household duties and the practical organisation of the premises. The successful candidate will also prepare a daily lunch for a small team of approximately 5 to 8 people.

This is a long-term opportunity for an autonomous, well-organised individual with strong housekeeping experience and a genuine enjoyment of cooking.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & property care

Maintain the cleanliness, order and presentation of the property to a consistently high standard
Carry out routine cleaning, dusting, floor care, glass cleaning and waste disposal
Keep staff accommodation and shared areas clean, organised and welcoming
Monitor the general condition of the premises and ensure everything is properly maintained

Laundry & linen

Manage the household linen from start to finish
Wash, iron, fold and store laundry appropriately
Prepare linen and accommodation areas according to requirements

Daily cooking & lunch service

Prepare a fresh lunch each day for approximately 5 to 8 staff members
Plan meals and purchase the necessary ingredients
Set the table and ensure the dining area is properly prepared
Clear away after lunch, wash dishes and leave the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised

Shopping & household supplies

Carry out grocery shopping and other necessary purchases
Keep accurate oversight of food, cleaning products and essential household supplies
Monitor stock levels and arrange replenishment when required
Handle occasional errands, including dry cleaning, post office visits, pharmacy trips and other local purchases

Property coordination

Welcome external contractors and service providers arriving at the property
Facilitate their access and assist with their work when necessary
Identify any maintenance issues, defects or equipment malfunctions and report them promptly
Provide regular updates to Management concerning the upkeep and day-to-day operation of the property

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

At least 5 years of experience in a comparable housekeeping or private-service environment
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
A versatile, hands-on and proactive approach
A genuine interest in preparing lunch on a daily basis
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A discreet and service-minded personality
Fluency in French
A valid driving licence
A high level of discretion and respect for confidentiality

Position: Housekeeper
Location: Enghien-les-Bains, Val-d’Oise (95)
Contract: Permanent, full-time (CDI)
Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working hours: To be agreed
Start: As soon as possible

Salary

€2,920–€3,330 gross per month, depending on experience and profile
