Job Description

A private family in Al Manara, Dubai, is seeking an experienced, mature, and highly organised Housekeeper to take responsibility for the daily care, presentation, and smooth running of their private villa.

The household is home to four adults and is looking for a dependable professional who goes beyond routine cleaning. The ideal candidate will be proactive, observant, and capable of independently managing day-to-day household matters, from monitoring supplies and organising storage to receiving deliveries and coordinating with contractors and service providers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a well-run private residence and enjoys working with a high level of trust and responsibility.

The Residence

The property is a private villa comprising:

2 bedrooms
Dressing / closet room
Studio
Office
Additional living and household areas
7 bathrooms

There are no pets in the household.

No children live at the property on a permanent basis, although nieces and nephews may occasionally visit.

A separate Private Chef will be employed, so cooking is not required for this position.

Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the daily cleanliness, order, and presentation of the residence.
Carry out detailed housekeeping and cleaning across all regularly used areas.
Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, and other areas are consistently maintained to a high standard.
Regularly inspect guest rooms, storage areas, and less frequently used spaces to ensure they remain clean and well organised.
Keep cupboards, wardrobes, storage areas, and household items orderly and properly arranged.
Monitor household supplies and maintain accurate replenishment lists.
Check expiry dates and ensure food, beverages, and household products are appropriately stored and organised.
Label and arrange household items where appropriate.
Receive deliveries on behalf of the family and ensure items are correctly handled and stored.
Liaise professionally with maintenance personnel, technicians, delivery teams, and other contractors attending the property.
Keep the family informed via WhatsApp regarding deliveries, maintenance visits, household supplies, and other relevant matters.
Assist with preparing the residence when guests are expected, including setting out plates, preparing areas, and serving or preparing drinks and tea.
Learn and remember the family’s preferred teas and beverages.
Anticipate household requirements and take action without waiting to be instructed.
Report any maintenance issues, shortages, damage, or other household concerns promptly.
Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality concerning the family, their guests, and the property.
Contribute to the efficient and organised day-to-day management of the household.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working as a Private Housekeeper, Housekeeper, Household Assistant, Butler, or in a comparable private household position.
A mature, trustworthy, discreet, and responsible character.
Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
High standards of cleanliness, presentation, and household organisation.
The ability to work independently and confidently without constant supervision.
A proactive approach and the ability to anticipate the family’s needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence using WhatsApp to provide clear household updates.
A professional and courteous manner when dealing with contractors, delivery personnel, and other service providers.
Flexibility to adapt to the family’s routine and changing requirements.
A polished and professional appearance.
A thorough understanding of confidentiality, privacy, and discretion.

Cooking is not required, and childcare will not form part of the primary duties.

The family maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding theft or the unauthorised taking of household property, belongings, or money.

To protect the privacy and security of the household, photography and recording are strictly prohibited outside the employee’s private room.

Working Conditions

Position: Full-time Housekeeper
Location: Al Manara, Dubai
Live-in: Preferred
Live-out: May be considered for the right candidate
Accommodation: Private accommodation with an attached bathroom provided for live-in candidates
Schedule: 6 days per week, 1 day off
Hours: Flexible, generally starting at approximately 9:00 AM and adjusted according to the family’s routine
Start: ASAP
Visa: Sponsorship provided
Medical insurance: Provided
Annual flight ticket: Provided
Interview: In-person interview required
Trial: Approximately 3 days, depending on the candidate’s current employment and availability

Salary

Up to AED 3,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability
