Housekeeping & Deep Cleaning

• Take full responsibility for the cleanliness and presentation of the residence.
• Carry out daily housekeeping across bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other household spaces.
• Perform regular deep-cleaning tasks to maintain a consistently high standard.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, clean surfaces and ensure all areas are carefully maintained.
• Pay particular attention to details and areas that are frequently overlooked.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and techniques according to different surfaces and materials.
• Maintain an orderly and welcoming environment throughout the home.

Laundry & Household Linen

• Manage the complete laundry process for the household.
• Wash, dry, iron and fold clothing and household linens.
• Handle delicate garments and fabrics with appropriate care.
• Ensure clean laundry is correctly organised and returned to its designated place.
• Maintain a consistent system for household linens and clothing.

Pet Care & Animal Areas

Comfort around animals is an essential part of the position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily cleanliness and hygiene of areas used by the family’s pets, including:

• Rabbits.
• Cats.
• Dogs, including larger dogs.

Duties will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining litter boxes and animal living areas.
• Ensuring pet areas remain hygienic and well organised.
• Supporting the general upkeep of spaces shared with the animals.
• Monitoring household supplies related to pet care.
• Reporting any concerns or issues to the family.

Candidates must be genuinely comfortable working around animals and should not be nervous around larger dogs.

Additional Family Support

Although housekeeping and animal care are the principal responsibilities, the successful candidate may occasionally be asked to provide additional household assistance.

This may include:

• Providing occasional childcare when required.
• Preparing simple family meals.
• Assisting with basic kitchen organisation and cleaning.
• Monitoring stocks of household and cleaning products.
• Checking supplies for the family’s pets and notifying the family when replenishment is required.
• Keeping cupboards, storage areas and utility spaces organised.
• Reporting maintenance concerns or household issues promptly.

These additional duties will remain secondary to the primary housekeeping responsibilities.
