Job Description

A private household based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye is seeking a professional and experienced Family Chauffeur to join the family from September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and discreet transportation for family members, with particular focus on the daily schedules of the family’s four children.

This position requires a highly reliable individual with excellent driving skills, impeccable presentation, and a strong service mindset.

Working within a respectful and well-organised family environment, the chauffeur will play a key role in coordinating daily journeys while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Family Transportation

Drive the family’s four children to and from the Lycée Franco-Allemand and various extracurricular activities in Versailles and surrounding areas
Provide transportation for adult family members for both professional and personal engagements
Organise and carry out transfers to airports, including Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and major train stations
Ensure all journeys are completed safely, comfortably, and punctually

Route Planning & Logistics

Anticipate traffic conditions and select the most efficient routes
Monitor travel schedules and adapt to changes when required
Coordinate transportation arrangements according to the family’s evolving needs

Vehicle Care

Maintain the vehicle in immaculate condition, both inside and out
Perform routine checks including fluid levels, battery charging, tyre condition, and general vehicle readiness
Ensure the vehicle remains clean, safe, and prepared for daily use at all times

Household Support

Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours and schedule adjustments
Maintain strict confidentiality concerning the family’s private life and activities
Provide a professional, discreet, and service-oriented experience on every journey

Job Requirements

The family is seeking a polished and dependable chauffeur who combines exceptional driving abilities with a strong understanding of private service standards.

Essential Requirements

Valid Category B driving licence with an excellent driving history
Proven experience as a private chauffeur, executive driver, or chauffeur for VIP clients
Fluent French
Outstanding punctuality and reliability
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working with children and families
Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional in all situations
Flexible availability, including occasional weekend work

Desirable Qualifications

Experience driving electric vehicles
Secure garage or private parking to accommodate the vehicle if required

Salary

€39,000 – €46,000 gross per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall profile.
