Job Description

A private family based in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida, is seeking an experienced and dependable Live-in Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day care and maintenance of their residence.

The household consists of two adults and a mid-sized dog. As the family regularly travels between Miami and their other residences, the successful candidate must be comfortable managing the property independently during extended periods of absence.

This is an autonomous position suited to a proactive, highly organized professional who takes pride in maintaining an immaculate home, managing household routines, and ensuring the property remains secure and well-maintained.

The housekeeper will be provided with private accommodation on the property and will have considerable flexibility in organizing their working time when the family is away.

Responsibilities

Oversee the cleanliness, presentation, and general organization of the residence.
Carry out daily housekeeping, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining all living spaces.
Manage all laundry-related duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and household linens.
Provide daily care and attention to the family dog, including basic feeding and general pet care.
Independently oversee the residence during the family’s absence, ensuring the property remains clean, secure, and properly maintained.
Prepare the home ahead of the family’s arrival, ensuring all rooms and facilities are presented to a high standard.
Carry out periodic deep cleaning and additional household upkeep as required.
Monitor the condition of the property and report maintenance issues, arranging necessary services in coordination with the family.
Communicate with the family regarding household priorities, schedules, and specific requirements.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of household management.

Job Requirements

Previous experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household, supported by strong professional references.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain high standards without constant supervision.
A reliable and trustworthy professional capable of looking after a private residence during the family’s extended travels.
Comfortable around dogs and experienced in providing basic pet care.
Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and home organization skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate household needs.
Flexible and adaptable to changing family schedules and periods of occupancy.
Willingness to reside on the property and respect the boundaries associated with a private household.
Professional demeanor, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Working Conditions

Full-time, live-in position based in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida.
Private guest bedroom with an en-suite bathroom provided on the property.
Guaranteed payment for 40 hours per week, with the possibility of additional paid hours when the family is in residence.
Health insurance provided.
Flexible working arrangements, particularly during periods when the family is travelling.
No travel with the family required.
Employment subject to a criminal background check and professional reference verification.

Salary

Compensation of $30 USD per hour, based on experience and relevant specializations.
