An exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced Live-in Travelling Housekeeper to join the private household of a respectful principal with residences in the United Kingdom and France.

This permanent position is ideal for a dedicated housekeeping professional seeking a lifestyle role that combines luxury private homes, international travel, and long-term career stability.

While the principal residence is based in the UK, the successful candidate will accompany the principal during regular stays at their French property.

Responsibilities

As the Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring each residence is maintained to the highest standards by:

Delivering exceptional daily housekeeping throughout the properties.
Managing laundry, ironing, wardrobe organisation, and garment care.
Preparing simple, fresh, and healthy meals when required.
Running household shopping and other day-to-day errands.
Greeting visitors and coordinating with contractors or service providers when necessary.
Caring for the family’s friendly Wire-Haired Dachshund.
Travelling with the principal between residences in the UK and France as required.
Maintaining a welcoming, organised, and beautifully presented home environment at all times.

Job Requirements

The ideal applicant will have:

Proven experience working in private households.
Excellent housekeeping and organisational skills.
A warm, discreet, and trustworthy personality.
The ability to work independently with initiative and attention to detail.
A full, valid driving licence and confidence driving.
Flexibility to travel regularly between the UK and France.
Fluent English communication skills.
A professional attitude with a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional household standards.

Working Conditions

Location: United Kingdom (main residence) with regular travel to France.
Accommodation: Fully furnished private accommodation provided at every residence.
Working Week: 40 hours per week.
Days Off: Two days per week.
Utilities: Included.
Contract: Permanent, live-in position.
Start Date: Immediate or by mutual agreement.
