Job Description

A private family is seeking a dedicated Live-In Nanny / Family Assistant to join their household on a long-term basis during a period of transition. This role is well suited to a mature, dependable professional who brings strong childcare skills, sound judgment, and a respectful, discreet approach to family life.

The role focuses primarily on the daily care, development, and emotional well-being of two young children, while also providing thoughtful household support that helps maintain consistency and stability.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for a toddler and a school-aged child.
Manage daily routines, including meals, naps, hygiene, dressing, and bedtime preparation.
Encourage positive behavior, emotional balance, and character development in line with parental guidance.
Support school routines and engage the children in age-appropriate learning activities.
Prepare the children for outings, appointments, special events, and travel.
Travel with the family domestically and internationally when required.
Maintain children’s living spaces, including bedrooms, play areas, and related organization.
Handle children’s laundry, light ironing, and wardrobe management.
Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Assist with light household tasks connected to the children and the daily rhythm of the home.
Support the parent with personal household needs such as packing, organization, and daily logistics.
Maintain strict discretion and professionalism at all times, particularly in sensitive situations.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with the parent regarding schedules, observations, and needs.
Provide reliable, steady support during long workdays, meetings, or periods of travel.

Job Requirements

Minimum of three years’ professional experience in private households, family assistant roles, or long-term nanny positions.
Proven ability to care for infants or toddlers while also supporting older children.
Calm, emotionally intelligent, and grounded temperament.
Comfortable working in a structured, values-driven, and faith-respectful household.
Highly organized, proactive, and attentive to detail.
Polished appearance and professional demeanor.
Strong sense of discretion, confidentiality, and personal boundaries.
Flexible and willing to travel domestically and internationally.
Long-term mindset with a commitment to consistency and stability.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Excellent references from previous private employers.

Working Conditions

Start date: As soon as possible.

Salary

$70 000 gross/year
