Job Description

A private family based in Umm Al Quwain is seeking an experienced Horse Riding Coach to join their family-owned equestrian property on a full-time basis.

The estate features a well-developed setup with 17 horses and a dedicated team of grooms, providing an ideal environment for structured training and rider development.

This role combines private coaching with horse training and oversight, requiring a professional who can deliver tailored lessons while ensuring all horses are maintained to a high standard of fitness, responsiveness, and safety.

Applications are open to candidates currently based in the UAE as well as international applicants willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Riding Instruction

Provide structured, one-to-one riding lessons in Dressage and Show Jumping.
Train two adults and up to seven children (ages 4–13), all at beginner level.
Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning pace and confidence.

Training & Progression

Develop and implement a progressive training program for riders.
Support skill development, confidence building, and long-term progression.

Horse Management

Oversee the condition, fitness, and schooling of 17 horses.
Work closely with the grooming team to ensure proper daily care and readiness.
Ensure horses are suitable, responsive, and safe for riders of all levels.

Safety & Standards

Maintain high safety standards across all riding activities and stable environments.
Monitor horse welfare and ensure best practices are followed at all times.

Professional Conduct

Work with discretion and professionalism within a private family environment.
Maintain clear communication and a structured approach to training and operations.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Horse Riding Coach, with strong expertise in Dressage and Show Jumping.
Experience teaching beginners and children is essential.
Calm, patient, and safety-focused approach.
Strong understanding of horse behavior, training techniques, and welfare.
Previous experience in a private household or similar environment is advantageous.
Fluent in English.
Willing to be based on-site in Umm Al Quwain.

Working Conditions

Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAE
Contract: Full-time position
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 5 days per week
