Child-Focused Responsibilities (Primary)

• Guide the children through daily routines, transitions, and self-help skills.
• Prepare simple, healthy meals for breakfast and lunch.
• Lead engaging creative play, outdoor activities, games, and hands-on learning.
• Manage preschool drop-off (8:50 AM) and pickup (1:00 PM) for the older child.
• Support social and emotional growth using warmth and consistency.
• Maintain organized play spaces, supplies, and children’s belongings.
• Plan occasional outings (library, museums, local activities).
• Accompany the older child to occasional extracurriculars.

Light Child-Related Household Tasks

• Children’s laundry and linens.
• Cloth diaper washing.
• Washing dishes used by the nanny and children.
• Taking out trash/recycling from kitchen and kids’ rooms.
• Tidying children’s bedrooms, play areas, and common use spaces.

(No deep cleaning – a housekeeping service is already in place.)

Household Considerations

• The family keeps a kosher kitchen; full training will be provided. No prior knowledge required.
• The household includes cats.
• One or both parents often work from home; the nanny should be comfortable supporting a smooth work-from-home environment.
• The nanny must respect the family’s cultural norms and dietary guidelines.
