Job Description

A well-established international family recently based in Florence is seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper for a long-term, full-time position. The role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in maintaining a refined private home and is looking for stability within a respectful, well-structured household.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a beautiful residence in Italy, with regular international travel to the family’s other homes in France and London.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Home Care

Daily cleaning and presentation of the residence to a high standard.
Careful maintenance of floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
Handling and cleaning of delicate furniture, materials, and surfaces.
Making beds, changing linens, and maintaining overall household order.

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

Full responsibility for laundry, ironing, and garment care.
Wardrobe organisation and linen management.

Household Support

Running household errands as required.
Assisting with meal preparation or service when needed.
Occasional cooking appreciated.

Family & Lifestyle Support

Occasional supervision of the children for short periods (a full-time nanny is employed; parents are present).
Comfortable working in a pet-friendly household.
Willingness to assist if a dog joins the family in the future.
Travelling with the family for several months per year to other residences.
Driving required.

Job Requirements

Minimum 10 years’ experience working in private households.
Strong history of long-term placements with families.
Meticulous attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working within a household team.
Languages required: English plus Spanish, Italian, or French.
Valid driving licence.
Confident working around children and assisting occasionally when needed.
Cooking skills considered an advantage.

Working Conditions

Schedule: 5 to 5.5 days per week (to be agreed)
Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom within the residence
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary

From €2,800 net per month (approximately €55,000 gross per year), depending on experience
