Job Description

A private family based in Toluca Lake is seeking a reliable and adaptable Family Assistant to provide occasional childcare and meal support. This role is designed to support the parents during evenings, weekends, and date nights, helping maintain a balanced and well-organised family routine.

The ideal candidate is calm, engaging, and dependable, with experience caring for school-aged children and the ability to prepare simple, healthy family meals. This is a live-out, ongoing position offered on an as-needed basis.

Family Environment

Two children, aged 10 and 13
Parents work from home
Calm, respectful, and structured household atmosphere

Responsibilities

Provide attentive childcare during evenings and weekends.
Supervise the children while parents are out for date nights or commitments.
Offer light homework support when required.
Prepare simple, nutritious meals for the family.
Assist with meal preparation and occasional family-style cooking.
Clean and organise the kitchen after meals.
Run errands and provide light household assistance as needed.

Job Requirements

Previous experience working with school-aged children.
Responsible, punctual, and highly dependable.
Comfortable preparing everyday, family-style meals.
Calm, positive, and engaging presence with children.
Flexible availability and reliable commitment.
Clear and confident communication skills.

Working Conditions

Location: Toluca Lake, CA 91602
Schedule: Flexible – evenings, weekends, and occasional weekday hours
Status: Live-out
Contract: Ongoing, as-needed

Salary

$30–$40 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $45/hour for candidates with strong cooking experience
