Job Description

A modern, respectful family based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Live-Out Nanny to support their two children, aged 5 and 9. This is a long-term position suited to a professional nanny who values structure, warmth, and continuity, and who can integrate naturally into the rhythm of family life.

The role focuses on after-school care, daily routines, and engaging activities, with occasional international travel (approximately six weeks per year) to Paris and Rio de Janeiro. The household also includes a small family dog, so ease and comfort around pets is essential.

The nanny will play a key role in the children’s daily lives, offering consistent, nurturing care while encouraging independence, curiosity, and active lifestyles. The family is looking for someone reliable, proactive, and emotionally engaged, who can build a trusted, long-term relationship with both the children and parents.

Responsibilities

Childcare & Development

Provide attentive after-school supervision and care.
Organise stimulating, age-appropriate activities, including outdoor play, sports, and creative projects.
Limit screen time and promote healthy, active routines.
Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children when required.
Support homework and learning with a calm, structured approach.
Ensure the children’s safety, emotional well-being, and daily comfort.
Accompany the family during summer and winter travel periods.

Family Life & Daily Routine

Integrate smoothly into the family’s daily structure and routines.
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and clear personal boundaries.
Join the family for lunch when appropriate (encouraged).
Evenings are generally free, with dinner taken during personal time.

Collaboration

Work in harmony with existing household support staff.
Show flexibility and a team-oriented mindset in shared responsibilities.
Adapt tasks according to the family’s evolving schedule and needs.

Job Requirements

Proven experience caring for school-aged children.
Fluent English required; French and/or Portuguese are a strong advantage.
Energetic, hands-on, and genuinely engaged with children’s activities.
Calm, patient, positive, and solution-oriented.
Flexible and comfortable with schedule adjustments.
Trustworthy, respectful, and emotionally intelligent.
Comfortable around dogs.
Valid driver’s licence is a plus.

Working Conditions

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
(Candidates already in Dubai preferred for in-person meetings; strong GCC-based profiles also considered)
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (aligned with school pick-ups)
Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is identified
Accommodation: Not provided (relocation assistance may be available)
