A private high-net-worth family based in Austin, Texas is seeking a top-tier Live-In Nanny Governess & Childcare Specialist to join their household on a long-term basis.

This position is ideal for an experienced childcare professional or career educator who is confident managing early childhood development within a structured, private household environment. The role combines hands-on childcare, early education, and international travel support, offering a dynamic and engaging working environment.

The successful candidate will support two young children (5 months and 2 years old), ensuring their daily routines, development, and wellbeing are managed to the highest standards. A strict confidentiality agreement (NDA) will be required.

Responsibilities

Early Childhood Development: Deliver tailored, age-appropriate learning activities, focusing on sensory and motor development for the infant and early learning structure, socialisation, and routine-building for the toddler.
Full Daily Care Management: Oversee the children’s full schedule, including morning routines, meals, naps, hygiene, and bedtime, ensuring consistency and structure throughout the day.
Travel Support: Accompany the family on domestic and international trips, adapting to extended schedules and providing full childcare coverage when required.
Nursery & Wardrobe Organisation: Maintain well-structured play and living areas, manage clothing and supplies, and ensure all child-related items are organised and fully stocked.
Health, Safety & Wellbeing: Monitor developmental milestones, maintain a safe environment, and support the children’s overall wellbeing through attentive and proactive care.

Job Requirements

Professional Experience: Extensive experience working within private households, with a strong background caring for infants and toddlers.
Education: Formal training or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
International Mobility: Valid passport and flexibility to travel for extended periods.
Personal Attributes: Highly organised, discreet, and reliable, with the ability to integrate naturally into a private household while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both children and parents.

Working Conditions

Location: Austin, Texas
Start Date: Immediate
Daily Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM (from wake-up to bedtime

Schedule Options:

3 weeks on / 1 week off
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
25 days on / 5 days off
Alternatively, a 6-day working week with structured leave
Accommodation:
Private bedroom and bathroom within the residence, ensuring comfort and privacy.

Salary

$170,000 – $200,000 per year (Salary dependent on experience, schedule, and overall workload)
