Job Description

Morgan & Mallet International is seeking a professional Native English-Speaking Nanny / Governess on behalf of a private family residing in the prestigious 7th arrondissement of Paris.

The family has three energetic and engaging children aged 9, 7, and 4 and is looking for a dynamic childcare professional who can combine educational support, active play, and structured guidance in a fully English-speaking environment. American English is strongly preferred.

This position would suit an enthusiastic and confident nanny who enjoys working with active children, encouraging outdoor activities, and fostering personal development through positive leadership, creativity, and consistency.

The family offers a long-term, full-time role with independent accommodation and has experience assisting international candidates with visa procedures when required.

Responsibilities

Childcare & Educational Support

Collect the children from school each afternoon.
Provide after-school care on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Take full responsibility for the children throughout Wednesdays.
Maintain a stimulating English-speaking environment that supports language development and confidence.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and age-appropriate responsibility.

Activities & Recreation

Organise outdoor activities, park visits, sports sessions, and recreational outings.
Supervise and support extracurricular interests, including chess, table tennis, judo, piano, and other educational activities.
Create engaging group games and activities adapted to different ages.
Foster teamwork, cooperation, and positive sibling interactions.

Daily Routine Management

Prepare healthy snacks and evening meals for the children.
Manage bath time and bedtime routines.
Purchase groceries and supplies related to the children’s meals and activities.
Provide occasional evening babysitting according to the family’s schedule.

Job Requirements

Native English speaker required; American English strongly preferred.
Proven childcare experience with multiple children, particularly active boys.
Comfortable managing children of different ages simultaneously.
Strong interest in sports, outdoor activities, and active play.
Creative, energetic, and capable of keeping children engaged through varied activities.
Naturally authoritative while remaining caring and approachable.
Organised, proactive, and able to establish clear routines and boundaries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive role model with a professional attitude toward childcare.

Working Conditions

Position: Nanny / Governess
Location: Paris 7th arrondissement, France
Contract Type: Permanent (CDI), full-time
Accommodation: Live-in position with a private 50 m² apartment in Issy-les-Moulineaux
Start Date: Early September
Visa Support: Assistance available for eligible international candidates

Salary

€35,000 to €38,000 gross per year, depending on experience and overall profile.
