One of our Client, a lovely international couple mostly based in Monaco requires a House Manager / Personal Assistant to oversee the general running of their two properties, one in Monaco and the other in Menton, South of France.

The ideal candidate will provide personal assistance and service to the couple and be responsible for the overall management, care, and upkeep of their properties and belongings in both properties.

You must be legally allowed to work in both Monaco and France, be either an EU citizen, or holder of a French Carte de Sejour issued in the Alpes Maritimes region which authorizes work.  A willingness and permission to work in and travel to the UK for short periods would also be beneficial.

Vacancy duties and responsibilities

​​Personal butler service to the Principals, responding to any and all service requests promptly, professionally and calmly. Light cleaning duties when the full-time housekeeper is unavailable. ​
Correspondence in English and French, and completion of all household management and official paperwork in French and English.
Administrative responsibilities such as liaising with accountants, records management, bill paying, and petty cash management.
Performing errands and shopping.
Procurement, sourcing and negotiating with reputable suppliers for goods, equipment, repairs and maintenance in the properties.  Knowledge of and experience with overseeing contractors conducting periodic repairs on the properties.
Staff management (housekeeper and gardeners).
Management of high value/classic automobiles.
Perform occasional chauffeuring duties.
Functioning as a key-holder/contact for occasional rentals of an apartment on the property.

Profile requirement

To succeed in this role, you will need:
Previous experience in a similar role as House Manager / Personal Assistant
Fluency in English and French both written and spoken, is mandatory. Some proficiency in Italian would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be be highly organised, self-motivated, possess a positive attitude and ease with performing the many and varied administrative and personal assistance tasks in this role.
Successful experience with all aspects of staff management and training.
Experience and skill with the management of high value/classic automobile collection.
The candidate will be expected to live in Menton during week, either at the private cottage provided on the property or close by.
To be polished, discreet, professional, have a positive and service-oriented attitude, be helpful, trustworthy, honest, resourceful, energetic and adaptable.
An in-depth knowledge of household management, budgets and maintenance.
Be skilled at time management and have the ability to work within deadlines, effortlessly switch between disparate tasks.  Be comfortable and productive whilst working independently and unsupervised.
A valid Driver’s Licence and be able to drive a manual transmission. Skill and experience with chauffeuring passengers.
An understanding, experience, and familiarity with French administrative paperwork.  A knowledge of the rules and customs in France.
Strong computer skills and be technologically proficient and confident with creating backups,      performing on-line research, spreadsheets, e-mail, and be knowledgeable about internet security.
