Log inA welcoming family in the city center of Rennes is looking for a dedicated Nanny/Housekeeper to provide both household support and attentive care for their 5-year-old daughter, who requires adapted daily assistance. This is a live-in, long-term role, offering stability and the chance to become a trusted member of the household team.
Working alongside a full-time domestic employee already in place, the chosen candidate will balance child-focused responsibilities with household management, ensuring that the home is well-maintained and organized while the child’s well-being and development remain the top priority.
The position comes with private accommodation in a modern, independent apartment located on the family property.
Guide the child’s morning routine (wake-up, breakfast, hygiene, dressing) and accompany her before school.
Offer engaging and educational activities suited to her age and specific needs.
Assist with medical appointments and extracurricular outings.
Support evening routines such as snack, bath, bedtime preparation, and reading or playtime.
Maintain daily household cleanliness and oversee laundry and wardrobe organization.
Prepare healthy meals for the family using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Manage household supplies, grocery shopping, and errands.
Provide occasional weekend and holiday support in rotation with the other staff member.
Care for the family’s pets (dog and cat).
Ensure open and consistent communication with the parents, respecting their values and educational approach.
At least 3–5 years of professional experience in private households with children.
Reliable, caring, and patient, with strong adaptability and initiative.
Physically fit, comfortable assisting a child with mobility and handling a wheelchair.
Highly organized, autonomous, and proactive in daily household management.
Genuine interest in child development and well-being, especially outside traditional school settings.
Creativity in suggesting cultural and recreational activities.
Confident working in a home with pets.
Skills in healthy cooking are a plus.
Job Title: Nanny/Housekeeper (live-in)
Location: Rennes, France
Contract: CDI, full-time (39 hours per week, annualised)
Schedule: 7:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., Monday to Friday, plus some weekends and school holidays (rotation with other staff)
Accommodation: Independent, newly built T3 apartment provided on-site
