A private family is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver (M/F) to assist and accompany a 91-year-old gentleman living with Alzheimer’s disease in his daily life.The role is based in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and involves working as part of a close-knit, supportive team of two caregivers.

The chosen candidate will ensure the gentleman’s comfort, safety, and well-being, offering thoughtful companionship and assistance with everyday tasks. This position suits someone with proven caregiving experience, empathy, and a respectful approach to elderly support.

Responsibilities

Provide daily personal assistance according to the gentleman’s needs (bathing, dressing, applying compression stockings, etc.)
Offer meaningful companionship and conversation to stimulate memory and emotional well-being
Manage grocery shopping and other errands required for the household
Prepare healthy, balanced, and home-cooked meals for lunch and dinner
Maintain cleanliness and order in the bedroom, kitchen, and shared living spaces
Handle laundry duties as needed (washing, folding, organising)
Manage and administer the pill dispenser following medical guidance
Accompany the gentleman to appointments (hairdresser, podiatrist, etc.)
Maintain regular communication with the family and other caregivers
Ensure safety during the night and respond promptly to any emergencies
Collaborate with the two other caregivers to provide continuous and coordinated support

Job Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a similar caregiving role, ideally with Alzheimer’s patients
Calm, patient, and positive personality with a genuine sense of empathy and attentiveness
Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable with strong initiative and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with the family and care team
Must be comfortable around dogs

Working Conditions

Position: Caregiver / Personal Assistant (M/F)
Location: Paris, 17th arrondissement
Contract Type: Permanent (CDI), part-time
Start Date: July 2025
Probation Period: 1 month, renewable
Schedule: 2 consecutive 24-hour shifts followed by 4 days off
(may include occasional replacement for other caregivers during holidays or absences)
Accommodation: Private bedroom available during night shifts

Salary

€2,220 gross per month for approximately 10 full 24-hour shifts per month
