Log inA private family based in Brittany, near Fougères, is seeking a dedicated and experienced live-in caregiver to provide daily assistance to their school-aged daughter with a disability, while also ensuring the smooth running of the household. This long-term position is ideal for a compassionate, organized, and reliable individual who values teamwork and wishes to make a positive difference in a child’s life. You will work closely with another family employee to maintain a warm, supportive, and well-structured home environment.
Support the child’s morning routine, including waking, hygiene, dressing, breakfast, and light activities before school.
Assist with evening routines, such as snack time, bath, bedtime preparation, and educational or leisure activities.
Maintain the cleanliness and order of the home, including laundry, ironing, and household organization.
Handle shopping and inventory management, ensuring supplies are always available.
Prepare healthy, home-cooked meals for the family using fresh ingredients.
Coordinate medical appointments and extracurricular activities.
Provide occasional weekend or holiday support when needed.
Ensure the care and well-being of the family’s pets (one dog and one cat).
Communicate effectively with parents and the family assistant to ensure consistency in care and routines.
At least 3–5 years of experience working with children with disabilities.
Patient, kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to long-term support.
Physically able to assist a child with reduced mobility.
Excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
Interest in educational, cultural, and leisure activities.
Enjoys preparing balanced, family-style meals.
Comfortable working in a household with pets.
Strong sense of teamwork and communication.
Position: Full-time live-in caregiver
Location: Brittany, near Fougères
Contract: Permanent (CDI), 39 hours per week annualized
Schedule: 7:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., Monday to Friday, with rotation on select weekends and school holidays
Accommodation: Private, modern T3 apartment provided on-site
Salary: €19.50 gross/hour (approx. €3,300 gross/month)
Start date: October 2025
