Job Description

We are currently hiring a dependable and detail-focused Janitor to support the daily upkeep of a professional workspace in San Francisco.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the environment remains clean, organized, and safe for both employees and visitors.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, consistent in their work, and comfortable operating in a structured office or light industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Daily Cleaning & Hygiene: Carry out routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness of shared areas and sanitize high-contact surfaces such as door handles, switches, and elevators, as well as restrooms.
Waste & Recycling Management: Handle the disposal of waste, recycling, and compost. Follow local San Francisco regulations to ensure proper sorting and compliance.
General Upkeep: Maintain glass surfaces, windows, furniture, and fixtures. Refill supplies such as paper products and soap to ensure facilities remain fully operational.
Safety Monitoring: Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns, including minor repairs. Secure the premises when required after working hours.
Supply Tracking: Monitor cleaning materials and equipment. Alert management when stock levels need replenishment.

Job Requirements

Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
Physical Capacity: Able to remain active throughout the day, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Ethic: Reliable, self-sufficient, and able to maintain high standards without close supervision.

Working Conditions

Location: San Francisco
Schedule: Full-time, permanent position

Salary

$50,000 – $60,000 per year (based on experience)
