Job Description

A private family living in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, is seeking an experienced and versatile Housekeeper / Nanny to support the smooth running of their household and assist with the care of their two young children aged 7 and 3½ years old.

The role combines housekeeping responsibilities with after-school childcare and would suit a proactive, organized, and caring candidate who enjoys working in a family environment. The successful applicant will help maintain the home to a high standard while ensuring the children follow a structured and positive daily routine after school.

This is a permanent full-time position to start as soon as possible. Please note that accommodation is not provided.

Responsibilities

Household Duties

Maintain the cleanliness and overall organization of the home
Handle household laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization
Manage grocery shopping and household supplies
Prepare evening meals for the children
Ensure the household remains tidy and well maintained on a daily basis

Childcare & After-School Support

Collect the children from school and accompany them safely home
Organize and supervise the after-school routine, including snacks, homework, bath time, and dinner
Accompany the children to extracurricular activities and appointments
Supervise the children during swimming pool activities
Prepare and organize the children’s belongings for family trips
Provide additional babysitting support when needed

Job Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a private household with children
Reliable, autonomous, energetic, and caring personality
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
Driving licence mandatory
Comfortable supervising children in and around water; swimming ability required
Valid passport required
Fluent French essential; English speaking ability highly appreciated
Flexibility to occasionally travel with the family considered a strong advantage
High level of discretion and professionalism expected at all times

Working Conditions

Position: Housekeeper / Nanny
Location: Annecy, Haute-Savoie, France
Contract Type: Permanent full-time contract (CDI)
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Additional Schedule: Possibility of working one Saturday afternoon every two weeks
Accommodation: Not provided
Trial Period: One month, renewable

Salary

Monthly gross salary between €2,700 and €3,000, depending on experience and profile.
