Job Description

A private household based in Luxembourg is seeking a skilled and reliable Housekeeper to oversee the upkeep of their primary apartment. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and working within a well-organized private environment.

The Housekeeper will work in tandem with another household staff member and will be responsible for the daily care of the residence, including housekeeping duties, household supplies management, shopping, and full laundry and linen care. The family values discretion, consistency, and attention to detail, and is looking for someone who can contribute positively to the smooth running of daily household life.

The successful candidate will be organized, adaptable, and service-oriented, with a calm and respectful approach to private household work. Fluency in French and Spanish is preferred.

This is a full-time, permanent, live-in position based in Luxembourg. A comfortable and independent apartment located in the city center, close to the tram, is provided. The position is available immediately.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness, order, and presentation of all living areas, with particular care given to valuables and delicate materials
Ensure rooms are consistently tidy, organized, and welcoming
Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks, including floors, surfaces, kitchens, and bathrooms
Handle delicate laundry with care: washing, ironing, folding, and organizing wardrobes
Change bed linen and maintain bedrooms according to household standards
Provide both formal and informal table service when required
Manage waste disposal, recycling, and bin maintenance
Monitor and restock household supplies and toiletries
Run small household errands as needed
Clean windows when required
Manage parcels, deliveries, and incoming goods
Respond to daily household needs and adapt to occasional last-minute requests

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a private household
Professional, caring, and service-minded approach
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Energetic, positive, and motivated personality with good interpersonal skills
Autonomous, discreet, responsible, and fully trustworthy
Comfortable working in a high-standard private residence with strict confidentiality
Seeking a long-term and stable position
Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment
Fluency in French and Spanish is a plus

Working Conditions

Position: Live-in Housekeeper
Start date: As soon as possible
Location: Luxembourg
Contract type: Permanent, full-time (100%)
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Flexibility required, including occasional travel with the family (short or long term)

Salary

€2,500 net per month
