A distinguished family based in Paris is seeking a highly experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day management and presentation of an exceptional private residence located in the prestigious 7th arrondissement.

The property, spanning approximately 900 m², requires a polished and hands-on professional capable of maintaining impeccable standards within a refined and demanding household environment. This opportunity is ideal for an individual with substantial experience in luxury private service who combines discretion, emotional intelligence, operational excellence, and a true service-oriented mindset.

The family leads a dynamic lifestyle and is looking for someone capable of anticipating needs, ensuring flawless household organisation, and delivering a seamless level of private service with elegance and efficiency.

This is a permanent full-time position available immediately.

Responsibilities

Household Management & Property Oversight

  • Ensure the residence remains perfectly maintained, organised, and presentation-ready at all times
  • Establish and manage efficient household systems, inventories, storage organisation, and operational procedures
  • Oversee household supplies, stock management, and ordering processes
  • Conduct regular inspections throughout the property to maintain exceptional standards
  • Manage laundry care, wardrobe organisation, and garment maintenance alongside the existing household employee
  • Participate actively in hands-on housekeeping tasks when required, including cleaning, ironing, hoovering, bathrooms, and detailed upkeep
  • Prepare and organise breakfast service and contribute to the smooth daily running of the home

Luxury Service & Guest Hospitality

  • Deliver refined private service for the principals and their guests
  • Assist with table setting, beverage service, and meal support during informal or formal occasions
  • Welcome visitors while maintaining high standards of etiquette and confidentiality
  • Anticipate guest preferences and ensure comfort throughout their stay
  • Maintain reception rooms and guest areas in impeccable condition at all times
  • Support the principals with selected daily personal routines

Coordination & Household Logistics

  • Liaise with contractors, maintenance companies, suppliers, and external service providers
  • Handle personal errands including shopping, pharmacy visits, parcels, dry cleaning, and specific purchases
  • Oversee flower arrangements, plant care, and shoe maintenance
  • Coordinate caterers and event-related suppliers for private functions and receptions
  • Ensure the residence remains fully prepared to receive guests at short notice

Lifestyle & Concierge Support

  • Organise restaurant bookings and assist with travel logistics
  • Prepare luggage and personal belongings for travel arrangements
  • Coordinate transport and luggage handling when required
  • Prepare living spaces according to the principals’ routines and preferences
  • Assist with light household administration and day-to-day expense monitoring
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and highly functional household atmosphere

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a similar role within a luxury private residence, palace hotel, or UHNW environment
  • Strong understanding of high-end hospitality standards and private household protocol
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Highly discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of confidentiality
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of multitasking efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and professional presentation
  • Hands-on mentality with the willingness to assist operationally whenever required
  • Stable professional background with excellent verifiable references
  • Hospitality, luxury service, or hotel management training appreciated

Working Conditions

  • Position: Head Housekeeper
  • Contract Type: Permanent full-time contract (CDI)
  • Location: Paris 7th arrondissement, France
  • Accommodation: Non live-in position
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with lunch break
  • Flexibility required depending on household needs
  • Trial Period: Two months, renewable
  • Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Salary

Annual gross salary between €54,000 and €61,500, depending on profile, expertise, and previous experience.
