Description of the Job Offer :
Our client, the owner of multiple estates situated near Dreux (Eure et Loir), is currently seeking a Head Gardener (M/F) to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the green spaces across these diverse properties and to lead a team of 5 gardeners already in place.
This role is a full-time permanent position to be filled immediately.

Responsibilities and duties of the vacancy:
- Supervision of staff with daily briefings
- Assignment of tasks among team members
- Oversight of general maintenance work and its completion
- Ensuring adherence to safety regulations (uniform and PPE compliance)
- Care and maintenance of gardens, terraces, and infrastructure across various estates
- Management and maintenance of orchards, vegetable gardens, and tree nurseries
- Planning and oversight of forestry activities
- Management of both automatic and manual irrigation systems
- Collaboration with subcontractors for estimating and cost forecasting
- Supervision of teams regarding the use of plant protection products, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols
- Oversight of proper use and maintenance of provided equipment
- Scheduling management and organization according to needs
- Regular reporting to the employer
Candidate profile requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar job
- Strong knowledge of local biodiversity
- Proficiency in driving agricultural machinery
- High level of flexibility and organisational skills
- Experience in team management
- Attention to detail and dedication
- Flexibility and autonomy
- French spoken
- Driving license required
