Job Description

A distinguished private family from Kuwait is looking to appoint an experienced and caring Governess / Nanny to support the development and daily care of their young son, aged two years.

The position will begin in London, where the family will be living for an initial period, before transitioning between London and Kuwait according to the family’s travel schedule. The successful candidate must therefore enjoy travelling internationally and be happy to relocate as required.

This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for a professional with a genuine passion for early childhood development, who can provide a nurturing, stimulating, and structured environment while encouraging the child’s confidence, independence, and overall development.

The child currently speaks Arabic and is beginning to learn English, making this an excellent opportunity for a native English-speaking professional to play an important role in his language acquisition and educational journey.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, loving, and professional care for a two-year-old child.
Encourage age-appropriate learning through creative play, educational activities, and daily routines.
Support the child’s English language development using engaging and natural teaching methods.
Foster emotional wellbeing, confidence, curiosity, and positive social development.
Create a safe, organised, and stimulating environment that promotes healthy growth.
Establish consistent routines while adapting to the family’s lifestyle and travel schedule.
Monitor developmental milestones and communicate progress with the parents.
Travel with the family between London and Kuwait whenever required.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Governess, Professional Nanny, or Early Years Educator within private households or similar environments.
A strong understanding of early childhood development and learning through play.
A British passport (essential).
Native or fluent English language skills.
A warm, patient, caring, and engaging personality.
The ability to work independently while anticipating the family’s needs.
A polished, professional presentation and excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to live and work initially in London before relocating to Kuwait when required.

Working Conditions

Position: Full-time
Schedule: 5 working days per week
Working Hours: Approximately 7 to 8 hours per day
Accommodation: Live-in or live-out depending on the family’s location and the successful candidate’s preference
Meals provided while on duty
Primary Location: London, United Kingdom, followed by regular travel and relocation to Kuwait
Start Date: As soon as possible
