We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Governess to join our client’s family in Dubai, UAE. The Governess will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to the children, fostering their intellectual, emotional, and social development. The position is full time and permanent – To start in August 2024.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of education for the children, ensuring that their academic needs are met and that they are making progress in their studies.
- Develop and implement engaging and educational activities tailored to the children’s interests, abilities, and learning styles, fostering a love for learning and exploration.
- Foster the children’s creativity and critical thinking skills through hands-on activities, projects, and discussions, encouraging them to express themselves and explore new ideas.
- Help the children integrate into society by organising social activities and other related activities.
- Collaborate with parents and other household staff to create a supportive and nurturing environment for the children, ensuring their well-being and happiness.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on the children’s progress, challenges, and achievements.
Profile requirement
- Proven experience as a Governess or in a similar role, preferably in a private household or educational setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of educational principles, curriculum development, and teaching methods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire children.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children, supporting their growth and development.
- Fluency in English is required.
