We are seeking a professional and experienced Chauffeur (M/F) to join our client’s household in the Cotswolds, UK.
The Chauffeur will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services for the client’s family members and assisting with various errands and tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely and responsibly drive family members to and from their destinations, including school drop-offs and pick-ups, appointments, and other engagements, ensuring punctuality and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Needs to be immaculate, discrete, multi-skilled and highly organised.
- Good geographical knowledge is essential, particularly so in the Cotswolds and Central London where this skill is in high demand.
- Needs to be safe and dependable, with the flexibility and willingness to work long hours which may sometimes involve working bank holidays, weekends and evenings.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle at all times, including regular cleaning, refuelling, and maintenance checks to ensure it is in optimal condition.
- Organise MOTs, valeting and car services.
- Assist with running errands and completing tasks as needed, including grocery shopping, banking, and other household-related activities.
- Provide assistance to family members as needed, including helping with luggage, opening doors, and providing support during outings and events.
- Liaising with airport contacts and other members of the team to keep travel plans updated.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers and representing the family in a positive light.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role, respecting the privacy and security of the family and their affairs.
- Pet friendly and comfortable with dogs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chauffeur or in a similar role, preferably in a private household or luxury hospitality setting.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a driver; 10+ years is a bonus.
- Valid UK driver’s license with a clean driving record and knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- DBS Clearance.
- Ideally CPC Certificate.
- Experience driving long-wheel-based people carrier vehicles.
- Security driving skills would be desirable.
- Basic office duties.
- Excellent driving skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety and punctuality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with family members.
- Must have good time management and maintain high standards of appearance.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Fluency in English is preferred.
Work conditions
Private Chauffeur F/M.
Full time – Permanent position ( flexibility for weekends/evenings).
Vehicle Provided.
Start date – January 2025.
Salary – Will be based on experience and qualifications.
